This will not work out for most newer trial software.
In most cases the way it works now, is you are able to use the software x days before/after the date that it was installed, so if you set your computer to 2010, install it, and set it back to 2006, it will say that your trial has expired. In most cases the date is encrypted in some form and you can usually easily pick it out in the registry, if you delete the entry and reinstall it will allow you to "re-try" the trial period.
